(this post is way over fucking due)
On the 7th of October, I was able to see a line up of 3 bands that I genially like.
My cousin flew all the way from Poland for the weekend to see the line up so the company was definitely lovely. But she flew in the night before and with the luck we have the flight was delayed by 45min which had a domino effect on her coach ride into London.leaving me picking her up at 2am and leaving us in bed at 3am after a double shift of 10 hours at work.
We were at the venue by 15:00 which got us just in line for at least 1-3 row which in the end of the day was worth it no matter how cold we got by 19:00.
The opening act was Hands Like Houses. Fuck these guys were awesome, sort of wish the crowd interacted more with them because I've listened to them for over 8 months and it just felt like my cousin and I were doing the jumping.I highly recommend giving them a listen , my favorite song off the first album is "oceandust" and "glasshouses" off the second album :-)
Next was Crown the Empire, sadly one of the members David was not on the stage. I never ended up finding what happened. Since David was the 'scream', my favourite song Zero had less power to it but definitely worth seeing them and planning to see them again in the future.AND FINALLY, the main act which was Of Mice & Men at first I preferred they're old stuff just because it was a lil more mellow than what I am used to by them but surprisingly it was not mellow at all live like that was some good good shit :-) The crowd luckily woke up for their set and mosh pits awoke, everyone was having fun and I finally so smiles in the audience venue.
If you ever get the chance to see them and your into harder rock music i highly suggest all of them. I just heard that the tour had to be cancelled due to Austin health which is a shame but Austin did actually look a little under the weather if I say so I hope him the best of recovery.
hope everyone has a / had a lovely day and i'm gonna flood you with posts this week simply because I know they are a little overdue :-)
